Eating Rice Will Make You Fat!

Let me tell you why this is wrong!❌❌❌

Whenever I eat rice, I BALLOON!

Let's DESTROY this common myth ONCE and FOR ALL.

I remember when I first got here in

the middle east 5 yrs ago, someone told me:


"You Filipinos eat lots of rice, 2 times even 3 times a day but you don't get fat! How come Mark !?"



I'll tell you why...


3 REASONS WHY RICE WON'T MAKE YOU FAT:


1. LOW IN FAT :

Hands down, RICE is naturally low in fat and contains no cholesterol, which makes it a great food choice.


In fact eating foods that are low in fat can help to reduce overall calorie intake.


2. HELPS WITH SATIETY :

Rice is a carbohydrate-rich food that provides energy to the body and can help to keep you feeling full and SATISFIED.


Seriously.


This can reduce the likelihood of overeating and snacking on high-calorie food sources.


3. Nutrient-Dense:

It's a good source of vitamins, and minerals,


Ex. brown rice is high in fiber and can improve digestion.


And if you look at the anatomy of 1 cup(158g) of boiled rice:


➡️ Protein = 4.6 g

➡️ Fat = 0.58 g

➡️ Carbs = 41.16 g

➡️ Fiber =1.42 g


Energy = 194.34 (kcal)


Now, when consumed in appropriate portions,


Rice can be a HEALTHY part of your diet.



My friend, it does not necessarily make you fat,


BUT consuming excessive portions AND -


HIGH CALORIE PREPARATIONS


can contribute to weight gain.


So...


Should we blame the RICE for what the ADDED FAT from the COOKING OIL did?
